I have only now just learned of Chris's passing. I am yet another one of his students; -from back in 1971-72. I am very very sad to discover this. It had been quite a few years since I last stopped to visit him and that was back in Plymouth/Campton. He was a huge inspiration to me - his thoughts, his integrity, his passion and his sensitivity to nature and delicate observations. I was a beginner then and his impression will stay with me always.

A fantastic teacher. His guidance and his artwork will be missed.

Dear Kressy Family,
I am so sad for your loss as I recently read of Mr. Kressy's passing. I was one of his thousands of painting students at then-called Plymouth State College in the 1970's who greatly appreciated Mr. Kressy's positive, encouraging and life-affirming attitude consistently displayed toward us in class. He would always point out the good in what we did, as he patiently pointed out areas of improvement. I shared with my students just last week how Mr. Kressy's encouraging ways impacted me - not knowing he had passed away. Please know how special your loved one was when he was alive, and how he continues to impact new generations in a positive way through those of us who were fortunate enough to know and love him. Gratefully, Mary White

I will always remember his loving spirit and fantastic sense of humor. A number of years ago, I found his and my Dad's senior yearbook in the attic. There were many serious entries describing "life's ambition" but his was; " to smoke two cigars at one time." Thanks for keeping us human, Uncle Chris, and for always living in the light.
