Our son and daughter (in law), Rob and Amy Grady were classmates and housemates of Char at Harvard and Char has been a part of our households, if only in spirit, for all of these many years. Char lit up every room she entered and illuminated the best of all of us and our lives during her way-too-short lifetime. We ache with you, her family. We loved you, Char. You brought out the best in all of us whose lives you touched.

Char was a beautiful person inside and out. And wicked smart. And a great businesswoman. And sarcastically funny. And healthy. And a fitness fanatic! And I thought the world of her.
We first met in Seattle... probably in 2004, when I was hired by the company she was also consulting with (Strings) to handle PR. We soon became fast friends. And she quickly got me involved in her weekly work-out aerobic/yoga fitness regime with Susan "Stop the Insanity" Powter, alongside her BFF Amy Green Grady. Her beloved (big) dog Guster was a friend to my (mini poodle) dog Bruno. We always had a blast together.
By 2007, I moved home to DC. And Char moved to NYC... and we continued to stay in touch. I was regularly in NYC, and I'd always see her. And then she tapped me to help her promote her own startup "Coveted List". It was a brilliant idea. I wanted it so badly to succeed...
Eventually, Char moved to Boston, and we weren't able to see each other as we had before.
When I heard the sad news of her passing, I realized that it had been about 2 years since we'd really been in touch... since we'd seen each other, or texted, or talked on the phone. Why? No reason. Life happens. We were both busy. She moved from NYC to Boston. I had 2 hip replacement surgeries. Life got in the way. And now... I'll never be able to tell her how fabulous I thought she was, and that I loved her...

I am so sorry for your loss. I only worked with Charlotte for a short time, but she was so vibrant, smart and warm. She will be missed.

I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of Charlotte.
I still remember how much Charlotte enjoyed the food at our restaurant last time she visited in LA.
She was a wonderful woman and was cherished by everyone who knew her.
May she rest in peace.
I will miss you, Charlotte

I will always remember Char for being loving, wickedly smart, and so incredibly thoughtful. She was an amazing and cherished friend who touched my life in so many ways I feel blessed to have been able to spend time with her while she was out in Northern California and during so many of my Boston visits.
She once tried to teach me how to dress her furry rescues for winter snow and after I tried to put snow booties on Mae she couldn't stop laughing at how Mae struggled to walk when I put them on wrong. We had so many fun and silly adventures with her Guster and my Bogart (both Goldens) during beach visits and 4-legged play dates.
I'm at a total loss for words that can even come close to quelling your sorrow. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My hope is that you are comforted with your treasured memories and joyous times.
With love,
Marie Jackson

Charl was the the one who pushed everyone she knew to do their best, be their best and above all - to be happy, no matter what the circumstances. She didn't just say it, she dedicated her life to making sure it happened for everyone she knew. She had the remarkable ability to see and appreciate the best qualities in everyone, as different as we all may be. Whether it was at work or with friends or family, she gave all her love, time and efforts unconditionally to all and was always willing to give the shirt off her back - literally - to everyone she encountered. I have never met another human being like her and doubt that I ever will.
