Richard A. Sheehan

52, of Abbott Run Valley Rd, Cumberland RI, died suddenly in Bartlett, New Hampshire. He was the husband of Laura R. Viehmann, MD. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Lester and Margaret (Drinkwater) Sheehan. Mr. Sheehan was an accomplished artist having shown his work in many cities throughout the United States, including Boston, New York, and San Francisco. He was a graduate of Boston Latin School, Massachusetts College of Art and Yale University Graduate School of Fine Arts. He had lived most of his life in Boston before moving to Cumberland. Mr. Sheehan served as the moderator at the First Baptist Church, Attleboro, MA. He was an active volunteer at his children's schools. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Patrick and Andrew Sheehan, a brother, Lester J. Sheehan MD of Milton, MA, a sister, Mary Louise Sheehan of Randolph, MA, and one niece and several nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 118 South Main St, Attleboro, MA. Burial will be in Arnold Mills Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Rd (Route 122), CUMBERLAND, RI.
