82, On December 2, 2004, at his residence. Husband of Helen (Underwood) Baker. He is survived by his children Richard L. Baker and his wife Barbara Baker of Boston, Cynthia Baker Burns and her husband J. Scott Burns of London, England and Tiverton, Rhode Island, William H. Baker Jr. and his wife Deborah Baker of Sarasota, FL, Carolynn U. Baker of Belmont; his sister Mrs. William B. Tabler of Long Island, NY; eleven grandchildren and 2 great-grand children. He was predeceased by his brother Dr. Donald V. Baker formerly of Chestnut Hill. At Dr. Baker's request, all Services will be private. Contributions in Dr. William Baker's name may be made to the Angell Memorial Hospital, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130, Harvard Medical School, 25 Shattack Street, Boston, MA 02115, or The Dyslexia Foundation, 1750 17th St, Building H, Sarasota, FL 34234-8632.
