Rest In Peace, beautiful Warrior Woman. Thank you for your lessons, your leadership, and for inspiring so many others. Will forever be grateful to have met you and Miles when I asked a friend from Cheyenne River, "What is Sacred Stone Camp?" He said, "It's too hard to explain. Let me take you there." And off we went to Cannonball. I consider that June 2016 the beginning of my education and journey into supporting nothing less than the greatest indigenous-led environmental movement the world has ever seen. You were the light that sparked the movement.

A great loss for all of us who knew and loved her example of courage. Although I know she is happy being reunited with those she loves, I will miss her for now. I will look forward to that day when I see her again with both our families who went before us.

I did not know LaDonna personally, I only know her by her works. I know her by her strength, courage, wisdom, and perseverance she showed to preserve the land and people. She saw a wrong and tried to right it. Rest in peace knowing your work will continue.

This is my comfort in my affliction, for your own saying has preserved me alive. I have remembered your judicial decisions from time indefinite, OJehovah, and I find comfort for myself. May your loving-kindness serve, please, to comfort me, according to your saying to your servant.
