Jajay Turner passed away at his home in Bozeman on Nov. 13, 2012. He was 22 years old. He worked as a tobacconist at Poor Richard's News and Tobacco on Main Street. Jajay was the son of Debbie Turner and John Harold. He is survived by his mother, Debbie; and his two brothers, Jones and Johnson Turner.
Jajay was born in Portland, Ore. on Jan. 5, 1990. He lived in Canby and Molalla, Ore. before moving to Montana in 1999. He resided in Great Falls, Mont., where he graduated from Skyline Alternative High School in 2008. He worked as a bank teller and loan officer before moving to Bozeman in 2010. He also worked as a teller and customer service representative at the Main Street branch of First Security Bank before transferring to Poor Richard's to work full time.
Jajay's hobbies included video games and a love of all things outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and skiing around Bozeman. Most of all, he loved fine cigars and pipe tobacco. His time at Poor Richard's was not work to him – it was his passion. He relished his role as a tobacconist, and he constantly shared his passion with everyone around him. His generosity and joy for living was exemplary; he was a loving and loyal son, brother, and friend. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.

Jajay Turner was a really great person, I only knew him for a little while but he was a true friend of mine when I thought very low of myself. I was absolutely shocked when I heard of his untimely passing. My thoughts go out to his family and friends that were close to him. Au revoir JaJay....

I met Jajay when we worked together at the Graphic Arts department for the Great Falls Schools. My family took Jajay to several Griz games and trips to my cabin on Flathead Lake. I have some great memories of Jajay and will never forget his kindness. He will be greatly missed, RIP

When I picked up the NYT last Sunday and Jajay wasn't at Poor Richards I thought he was on vacation. I missed him that day and was so very sad to learn in our local paper on Thanksgiving Day that he died and is gone from our community. We had a weekly chat/connection and Jajay was a very special guy.
