Joann Lynn Dennis, 59, of Bozeman, passed away at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2013. The youngest of four children, she was born in Great Falls, Mont. in 1959, where she also attended Great Falls High School.

Joann was recently a resident of Big Sky, Mont., where she was a manager at Moosely Montana; then moved to Bozeman, where she helped open the new Goodwill store. She enjoyed her work at Goodwill where she made numerous friends with coworkers and customers alike.

She loved watching movies, cooking everyone's favorite homemade meals, road trips to Flathead Lake, and yearly traditions of camping at Hyalite; although her real passion was her family. Whether it was pulling pranks on her older siblings, sharing holidays with her three sons and daughter, or spoiling and caring for her grandchildren; these moments were the highlight of her life. Even in the later years, while trying to maintain her health, she never lost her compassion for others and would not hesitate to help people in need even if she had little means to do so. Her unconditional love and generosity is an inspiration to everyone she encountered and will be missed.

Those who have preceded her in death include her parents, Edna and Claude Hatleberg; also her sister and best friend, Marilyn Smith.

She is survived by her brothers, Glen Hatleberg of Bozeman and Bob Hatleberg of Lakeside, Mont.; her daughter, Jaime Harsha; her sons, Daniel RidesattheDoor, Chad Dennis, Lance Dennis of Bozeman; and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, July 21 at 1 p.m. at Lindley Center located at 1102 E. Curtiss Ave.
