born on October 22, 1929 passed away on December 2, 2016 after a long illness and complications of rheumatoid arthritis. Arline was a native of Tampa, Florida and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1948. She attended the University of Alabama where she was a member of Delta Zeta Society. Arline was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John A. Banks Sr., and her parents, Brooks and Fern Hughlett. She is survived by two sisters in law, Barbara Banks and Sue Hughlett, four children and their spouses, Joan and Bill Bryan (DeBary, FL), Jean and Nick Ellison (Winter Haven, FL), Jacquelyn and Geoffrey Dameron (Orlando, FL) and John Jr. and Janet Banks (Bradenton, FL), along with 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arline's greatest joy and passion was her family. She was a faithful Christian and a true witness of God's enduring love. She most recently attended West Bradenton Baptist Church. Arline retired from St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa where she had worked as a Unit Clerk in the surgery department. Services will be held on Friday December 16th at 11:00 am at West Bradenton Baptist Church. A private burial will be conducted at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in Arline's memory.
