Budd Harry Reth
Budd Harry Reth, born Oct., 26th, 1926, in Racine WI, passed away Sunday, July 2nd, 2017, surrounded by his family. Budd loved his wife of 50 years, Marcia Reth. He had 4 daughters, 2 sons, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Budd, along with his strong Faith in God, loved fishing and eating his catch of the day, golfing, and the occasional trip to the horse track, but mostly going to the theater, watching all critically acclaimed movies, and an excellent steak and martini with his wife, Marcia. Budd worked and loved his job at WTMJ Channel 4 in Milwaukee, WI, where he was the Senior Director and Producer. He started at the station when TV was only 5 years new, and retired in 2000. He loved and enjoyed his career and co-workers. In retirement he lived in both WI and FL, eventually making FL their home. He lived a very active life, telling funny stories of co-workers and family right up to his final days. He was loved and will be missed greatly by family and friends, and we believe he is in Heaven surrounded by a choir of angles.
Survived by his children, Lynn Faber (John), Debbie (special friend, Scott Schied), Kevin (Lisa) Christie Reth and Mark Reth (Bekki), along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Preceding Budd in death was his mother, Mimi, father, Harry, sister Beverly Popa, and daughter, Kim Hoffman.
Graveside Services 10:30AM, Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at Sarasota National Cemetery. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel is in charge. Condolences to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
