83, Bradenton, FL, died June 3rd, 2017. Born in Detroit, MI, she moved to Bradenton, FL, in 1974 from Michigan City, IN and attended Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a member of AAUW, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Purdue University, received her Masters of Library Science from USF and retired as Director of the Library at Manatee Technical Institute. Predeceased by
parents, John W. and Eleanor (Precious) Ohms; survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard of Bradenton, FL; sons, Mark (Mary) of Bradenton, FL and James (Tina) of Plant City, FL; daughter, Bethany (Norman) Smith of Millersburg, MI; brother, John ''Jack'' Ohms of Westville, IN; sister, Elaine Huff of Leesburg, FL; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be at a later date at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
