Obituary, Age 91, passed away July 29, 2016 following a short illness. Born September 17, 1924 to the late Clarence and Gertrude Whitney, she enjoyed 60 years with her husband, Carl Olin before his death. She loved being a member of various groups including most recently the Bradenton Elkettes 1511, American Legion Auxiliary Post 24, and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Eleanor was an avid golfer with 3 holes-in-one, loved to read, enjoyed cards, crafts, and volunteering at her church thrift store. She and Carl were originally from Michigan, but made Bradenton their permanent home in 2004. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret, Helen and her brother, Robert. Eleanor is survived by her brother, Donald Whitney, daughters, Pamela (David) Bannick and Patricia (Gary) Butters, as well as grandchildren, Christopher (Allison) Bannick, Bryan (Nadine) Bannick, Erin (Greg) Bartnick, Jeff (Maria) Butters and seven great-grandchildren. A private Memorial will be held in Michigan. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematroy 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
