Gary Wayne Wilkerson, On August 23, 2012 Gary Wayne Wilkerson (63) of Palmetto, Florida died following a heroic battle with leukemia. Gary was the father of twins, Whitney, Myakka City, and Jessica, Bradenton and son Adam Wilkerson of Bradenton, Florida. He was also the grandfather of Riley. Gary was born on November 5, 1948 to Carl Edward and Jean Ann (Klingler) Wilkerson in Kenton Ohio, both preceded him in death, and a sister Carol Ann Wilkerson. Gary is survived by his brothers, Carl (Bonnie) Wilkerson of Ada, Ohio and Michael (Shenaz) Wilkerson of Sunbury, Ohio. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy (John) Stultz, Judith Bitler, Jane Wilkerson and Nancy (Robert) McCool all of Ada, Ohio. Gary was a "gentle giant" and loved nothing more than to bring a smile, or better yet a laugh, to everyone he met. He was a favorite uncle to many of his thirteen nieces and nephews. Gary loved his family, Ada, Indian Lake, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, dogs and practical jokes. Gary was the owner/operator of the Wright Bike Shop at the Red Barn prior to it being destroyed by a fire in 1996. He was working as a truck driver for H&H L.S.D.
