She lived in Union and Warren, New Jersey prior to moving to Bradenton, Florida 20 years ago. While in Union, New Jersey, she was the ace softball pitcher of the Diamond Lils. She enjoyed summers at the Jersey Shore, boating and being around her family, grandchildren, & closest friends at Pebble Beach, New Jersey. Joan also treasured living the life of a snowbird in Bradenton, Florida and loved her warm winters in River Isles. She won three Women's River Isles Golf Champions while competing in their annual tournaments. She also scored a number of holes in one on the golf course. Joan's favorite hobby was cruising around the Caribbean, which included shopping sprees at her favorite jewelry stores at the many ports of call. She enjoyed watching her grandchild play softball & baseball, often telling tales of her many strikeouts or telling the umpire he missed a call. Joan was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also attended Braden River Presbyterian Church. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years John (Jack, Sr.); her beloved son John (Jack, Jr.) and his wife Nance; her three loving grandchildren Ana Brittany and the twins Austin Blake & Kacey Shawn; as well as one of her best friends Betty Dwulet of Pebble Beach.
