48, of Bradenton, Fla. was greeted by her father, Joseph J. Ipnar in Heaven on Monday, Sept.22, 2014. She battled cancer for nearly 4 yrs. Karen & her family moved to Bradenton from PA in 1975. She was a 1983 graduate of Manatee High. She was employed by Champs Sports as an Administrative Assistant for accessories & hard goods. Karen is survived by her son, Joshua; mother, Lynda Ipnar Sofran; step-father, Timothy J. Sofran; brother, Jeffrey J. Ipnar & son, Jeffrey, Jr.; significant other, Joseph Galacia & uncle, Edward D. Pons of Ritchfield, Utah; and various family in West Newton, PA. A mass will be said at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in her honor, please call for date & time. A Celebration of Life for Karen is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sat., Oct 4, 2014 at Robinson's Preserve located at 1704 99th Street NW, Bradenton, FL 34209.
