Maria Penna Castellina
June 9, 1927 - January 9, 2021
Bradenton, Florida - Maria Castellina was born in East Longmeadow, MA on June 9, 1927, the second child of Jerome and Antoinette Penna. She graduated from Cathedral High School with high honors.
On October 2, 1948 she married Valentino "Cas" Castellina. Valentino was a pilot with the US Air Force so there were many moves and exciting adventures around the US and overseas. She was an amazing mother, homemaker and gourmet cook. Everywhere she went she volunteered her time to multiple causes.
After retiring to Bradenton, FL in 1973 she and Valentino enjoyed participating in many activities with the Knights of Columbus, the Italian Club and their church. Cruises with friends and family were another highlight during these years.
Maria is survived by daughters; Anne and Elizabeth, daughter-in-law, Susan, granddaughters; Anya and Jessica, great-grandchildren; Christiane, Dante, Hannah and Emily and many nieces and nephews.
Internment will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10AM in the Memorial Garden at Ss. Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th Street West, Bradenton, Florida.
