Marlene Ann Michaelsen
Marlene Ann Michaelsen passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, August 6th, 2017 in Sun City, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation with the Deacon, Bruce Gillies officiating.
Marlene was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married Tom Michaelsen on August 19th, 1956 in Mount Prospect, Illinois. She graduated from Monmouth College in Illinois. She worked as a school teacher in Manatee County for over 20 years. Marlene was a girl scout troop leader for many years, Marlene also served on the alter guild, served as a docent for South Florida Museum and was the Wedding Director at Christ Episcopal Church in Bradenton, FL, for many years.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Michaelsen and brother, Patrick Thoms. Marlene is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Michaelsen, Linnea Davis, Kristen Zak and sister, Natalie Mueller, as well as, 7 grandchildren, Ashley Karen, Megan Kozma, Elizabeth Davis, Emma Zak, Andrew Davis, Mark Zak and Matthew Davis and three great grandchildren, Levi Kozma, Ian Kozma and Natalie Karen.
Memorials may be given to Life Path Hospice House of Sun City, FL.
