Franklin, NH - 84, of Bradenton , Fl died Christmas Eve Dec. 24th 2016 at the Peabody Home in Franklin surrounded by her family. Born May 26, 1932 in Northampton - She was the daughter of Clifford and Mary Violet Nash of Amherst, Mass. Norma graduated from Amherst High School in 1950 and Wheaton College in 1954. In 1955 she married Peter French her husban for over 61 years. Norma and Pete later moved to Cape Cod where they ran the old E.E.C. Swift Co. in Osterville. Outside of family, Normas main interests were in gardening, antiquing, all New England Sports Teams and was an avid reader. Norma will be dearly missed by her family - Laura and John Raymond, Howard and Patricia French, Scott and Susan French along with three grand-children Catherine, Emily and Tommy French - A fourth grandchild, Eric French was taken from us suddenly at the age of 23 four years ago. Her burial will be held in the spring at the Wildwood Cemetery in Amherst and a celebration of her life gathering will be held tentatively set for mid June. All will be invited to attend.
