81, Longboat Key, crossed the bar, February 14, 2015. Born in Gulfport, MS he moved to Long-boat Key in 1973. A Veteran of the US Army during Korea and he served in Germany, he was the computer programmer for IBM working with NASA and was responsible for the computer program launching the first man to the moon. He was the former owner of the Seafood Shack Restaurant, he attended the University of Florida on the GI Bill and was a life-long Gator fan. Predeceased by parents, James L. & Julia Evelyn (Blackmann) Jone;, son, Hamlin B., Jr.; brother, James; survived by wife, Lorraine of Longboat Key, FL; daughters, Kimberly (Dan) Trombley of St. Petersburg, FL, Adele Jones of Atlanta, GA and Nancy Pronko of San Diego, CA; sister, Julia (John) Matter of W. Palm Beach, FL; 3 grandchildren and former wife, Barbara H. Jones of Atlanta, GA. Cryptside Services with Military Honors 1PM Saturday February 21, 2015 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. Celebration of Life 12:30-2:30PM , Monday February 23, 2015 at the Lazy Lobster of Longboat Key, 5350 Gulf of Mexico Dr, Longboat Key, FL 34228.
