Georgette Roy Obituary

Georgette Roy passed away peacefully on Dec. 6 at Hartford Hospital at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her husband Roger Roy in 1994.
The daughter of Alfred and Alice (Laflamme) Boutin, she was born in St. Neree, Quebec, Canada. Georgette is survived by two sons, Daniel Roy and his wife Michele of New Britain, and Martin Roy and his wife Teresa of Newington.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Carolyn Salwen and her husband Michael of Rocky Hill, Kevin Roy and his fiancée April Calvin of New Britain, Ian Roy and his wife Lacey of Alhambra, Calif., and Olivia Roy of New Britain. She also leaves behind two great grandsons, Evan Salwen and Caleb Ceccorulli. She is also survived by her sister Doris Fazzina of Kensington, and many nieces and nephews.
Georgette has been a resident of New Britain for over 60 years and a member of St. Joseph's Church. She retired from Stanley Tool after nearly 20 years of service.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 14 at The Luddy & Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St. New Britain. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a mass at the Divine Providence Church next door at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will be at St Mary's Cemetery in New Britain.
In lieu of flowers, please make an online donation in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association https://act.alz.org.
