Ann Justine Michaels of Calabash passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her husband and family after a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 29, 1947, in Kingston, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Verna (Pearson) Noble. Ann was married in 1970 to Richard J. Michaels. She had been a longtime resident of Saugerties, N.Y., and was employed at Central Hudson for many years. She spent the last 10 years of her life doing what she loved most: golfing, traveling the world and doting on her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by three children, Richard D. Michaels (Stacey) of New Hartford, N.Y., Lisa Michaels of Mamaroneck, N.Y., and Karyn Pavich (Johnny) of Astoria, N.Y.; as well as five grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Michaels and Ivo, Marko and Lana Pavich. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Carroll (John) of Bernville, Pa., and her brother, Paul V. Noble (Regina) of Port Charlotte, Fla. A sister, Karen E. Noble, preceded her in death.
A celebration of Ann's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, at the VFW in Calabash. Interment will be private.
Should friends desire, contributions may be made in Ann's memory to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation.
