Mrs. Nell Rowe, age 88 passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Mrs. Rowe was born in Metter to the late Henry Elton and Beatrice Toole Lamb on December 22, 1932. She was a member of Savannah Holy Church of God for over 74 years and worked in the meat department for Byrd Brothers Supermarket, Smith Brothers Supermarket and retired with Piggly Wiggly. Mrs. Rowe enjoyed puzzles and playing aggravation.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Jeffrey Rowe; two sons, Ernest Rowe and William Elton Rowe; daughter, Laura Lucille Bedgood; two sisters, Annie Ruth McLin-Sparks and Belle McLamb and grandson, Christopher Bacon.

Survivors include one son, Elijah Rowe of Ellabell; one daughter, Linda Darnell Bacon (Steven) of Ellabell; one brother, Reverend James Lamb (Diane) of Brunswick; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morrison Memorial Chapel with Reverend James Lamb and Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.

Burial will be private at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face mask are required.
