My mother, Dottie Nelms, worked with Randi for many years at Hoover. While I only met her a handful of times, my mother spoke very highly of her. Each time I did have the chance to speak with Randi, she spoke of nothing else but her children and grandchildren, beaming the entire time. The lives she impacted at Hoover are innumerable and the care she gave to so many is beyond measure. My deepest condolences to the entire Fair family. May the memories keep your hearts afloat during such a difficult time.

For six years I went into Mrs. Fair’s office every day at Herbert Hoover elementary school. Needless to say she had and huge impact on my childhood and was my rock at school. She made me feel safe and supported, all while being a friend to me. Sending condolences to all of Mrs. Fair’s loved ones.

We are so sorry for your loss. Randi was a God send when I was concerned about our daughter starting kindergarten with Type 1 diabetes. We met Randi before school started and she was so kind and welcoming to our 5-year old and so reassuring and encouraging to her nervous mom. For the next 6 years, from kindergarten to 5th grade, Mrs. Fair was our daughter's buddy whom she visited every day before she went to the cafeteria for lunch. She made "abnormal" into "normal" and "scary" situations into "okay, we'll fix this" situations. We loved her. God bless her and her family.
