Karl L. Neumann

BUCYRUS: Karl Lee Neumann, 68, died unexpectedly after recent failing health on Sunday, September 6, 2015 in his apartment at Kettle Run in Bucyrus.

He was born in Crestline Hospital on October 28, 1946 to the late Lee "Bud" and Louise (Mettert) Neumann. Karl graduated from Col. Crawford High School in 1964 where he was active in music.

Karl was a father, welder, truck driver, maintenance man, cook, artist, gardener, fisherman, story teller, musician, Bible reader and Servant of the Lord. In his words, "For the majority of my life, I was too soon stupid and too late smart except for one thing: the day I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior." After a near-death experience at 16, Karl went to church where he said he knew the Lord in his head, but not his heart until a spiritual awakening in the early 1980s. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel in 1992 and preached in churches and revival meetings throughout the Midwest, mostly in Kentucky and Ohio.

Karl is survived by five children, Victoria (Scott) Tincher of Williamsburg, Heather (Darrin) Yarmesch of New Washington, Wesley (Angie) Neumann of Bucyrus, Charles Neumann and Joshua Neumann, both of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Freda Enderle, Hayley Clevenger, Lilly Neumann, David Tincher, Jessica (Tommy) Levings and Dustin Neumann; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Raymond of Colonial Heights, Virginia and Beverly Barnes of Mansfield.

In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his son, Karl Neumann, Jr.

Funeral services for Karl Neumann will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 1:00 pm at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service begins. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
