Bonnie J. Hemphill

Crestline - Bonnie J. Hemphill, 73, of Crestline, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at Crestline Nursing Center, Crestline, after a lengthy illness.

Bonnie was born in Bucyrus, on September 2, 1944 to the late Steve and Vera P. (Batton) Huml. She married Michael C. Hemphill on May 13, 1967 and he survives her.

Bonnie lived all her life in Crestline and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. For thirty years she worked part time at Strauch & Obermiller Jewelers, Crestline. She was an auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, Crestline and the VFW Post #2920, Crestline. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Bonnie was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Tashia and Jon Kelso, Crestline, her son, Kirk and Melissa Hemphill, Crestline, four grandchildren, Taylor Kelso, Mallory Kelso, Jordan Hemphill and Baleigh Hemphill, and her sister, Sandra and Jim Mahek, Crestline.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Huml.

Friends may call Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline with Deacon William Horning officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
