Jerry Lee Laughbaum

Milton, FL - Jerry Lee Laughbaum, 79, of Milton, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Jerry was born in Mansfield, Ohio, to Burnell Laughbaum and Virginia Lee Smith. Jerry lived much of his early life in Bucyrus, Ohio, his hometown before moving to Milton, Florida, in 1982. Jerry had many educational degrees but was most proud of his Journeyman Electrician Degree. Jerry was a proud Army Veteran of the 136th Artillery Division. Jerry was a double retiree from Tecumseh in Marion, Ohio, and Pensacola State College, Milton, Florida.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruby, of Milton, Florida; daughters, Lisa (Curtis) Gifford, Tina (Roger) Matthews, Sheila Semmler (Robert Archer); grandchildren, Karl, Cynthia, Amanda Gifford, and Chelsea (Colton) Westover, Roger Jr (Danielle) Matthews, Kristina (Jedd) White, Matthew Matthews, Hannah Mattews, Brandon Kelly; and ten great-grandchildren; who meant the world to him. He is also survived by three sisters, Linda (Jim) Murray of Port Orange, Florida, Susan Monroe of Bucyrus, Ohio, Jenny Laughbaum of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Thomas (Kathi) Laughbaum of Crestline, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry adored his wife and cherished his grandchildren.

He was loved and adored by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry loved God, Family, and his Country. His faith in God was unwavering and he led many people to the Lord.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church in Milton, with Brother Chris Hively and Bro. David Rowan officiating. A private family burial will be held.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., prior to the services.

We are so sorry for your loss. There are no words to say what a great man Jerry was. He led me to the Lord many years ago and I stand firm in faith. It was a privilege to know him. He was a wonderful man of God who had a servants heart. Cherish your memories , Irene Sheridan
