GALION: Lucille Jeanette Craner, 86, of Galion, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Galion Community Hospital after a one week illness.

Born March 6, 1926 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Francis Henry Craner and Alda Belle (Balliett) Craner.

Lucille was raised in the former First Church of Christ on East Payne Avenue in Galion and was currently a member of First Lutheran Church. She attended Fairway-Waycraft Workshop for many years. She lived a very active life until a week ago. She was a friendly and happy person devoted to her family and had the unique ability to sense how one was feeling by looking at them prior to speaking with them. She loved music and books, was an avid reader and adored Elvis.

Surviving are two sisters and one brother-in-law, Miriam Johnson and Betty Jean and Fred Sargel, all of Galion; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Shirley Craner of Galion; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Willey.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, with Rev. Matt Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
