Connie Beckley Obituary

Connie Beckley

Bucyrus - Connie P. Beckley, 65, of Bucyrus died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her home after a yearlong battle with a blood disorder under the care of her loving family and OhioHealth Hospice.

She was born May 21, 1953 in Bucyrus to the late Harry T. and Eva Nell (Taylor) Munday and graduated from Col. Crawford High School in 1971. She immediately began working for The Timken Co. until her retirement from quality control after 39 years of service. She will be remembered as a woman of family and faith, looking forward to every gathering, especially Christmas, and she was overjoyed once her beloved grandchildren came along. She worshiped with the Bucyrus Nazarene Church where she sang in the choir and formerly played the piano while attending the Kaler Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union. She also followed politics closely and was a proud Republican.

At home, she enjoyed the company of her canine "kids" with one on either side of her as she watched the Buckeyes, HGTV, or Fox News. Connie loved being outside tending to her flowers and she made a delicious banana pudding among other favorites. She enjoyed dancing when she was younger and traveling as she got older, usually to car shows with the corvette club and a couple cruises since retiring.

Connie is survived by two children, Lisa Beckley of Bucyrus and Scott (Stephanie) Beckley of Lexington; four grandchildren, Blake Beckley and Olivia, Derek, and Trevor Manuella; her companion of 35 years, Sammy K. Beach and his children, Darin Beach (daughter Marissa) and Jackie Partlow Beach (children Jona-Lynn and Logan); four siblings, Terry (Linda) Munday of Marion, Indiana, Linda (Rev. Garrett) Mills of Ashland, Kentucky, Sandra (Wayne) Ames of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Ruth (Tom) Bailey of Hobe Sound, Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family..

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her niece, Heather Munday and nephew, Michael Munday.

Connie's family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Service on Sunday, June 10 from 2-5 pm. Her funeral will be held at Bucyrus Nazarene Church on Monday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Ray LaSalle and Rev. Garrett Mills officiating and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Those wishing to make contributions are asked to give to Wise Funeral Service to assist with expenses. Memories and photos can be shared on Connie's tribute page at www.wisefuneral.com.
