The world has lost a dazzling star! Jean:smart, savvy, optimistic, romantic, caring, joyous...AUTHENTIC. Truly, Jean showed us all just how fine a human being can be...one of the highest life forms I've ever met. God rest her beautiful soul.

Phil and I bought Zoe and Fred's house in Berlin, across from Jean, in the late fall of 1987. I had know Jean professionally prior to that through U-32, as I worked with her in the pre-school program she coordinated with high school students and community member's children. She was a wonderful neighbor and an adopted family member for our children whose grandparents lived far away. They raked her pine needles, fed her cat and watered her plants when she was away. We will always look at the schoolhouse and think of Jean. She had a wonderful spirit and will be sorely missed by those she touched. I am so glad she was a part of our lives.

Jean was my T.A. @ U-32 High School.
Without her positivity, guidance and belief in me I wouldn't have gotten through. She was my rock and I loved her so very much. She was there for me at my Dad's funeral way even after I graduated. She even told me that the rosewater gift I gave her back in 8th grade, she still had and cherished! She holds a very special place in my heart. There is no doubt she was and always will be an Angel.

Zoe, John, Joy and Karen,
When I think of your mother I see her smile and hear her laughter. I also hear in her voice the love and concern she had for each of you and your children.
I am glad you are together "mourning and celebrating" her!
Love to you,
Wendy Allen
