I remember Richard fondly. I got to know him through Park Filling, where I took my old Valiant. Richard was kind to me when I was broke and undercharged me because he knew I needed a hand. Such kindness to another is a model for compassion.
My condolences to the family.

So sorry, my thoughts are with the family. I have fond memories of when my plumbing shop was next the Park Filling and every morning before starting our day some of us would gather for coffee. Dick was alway quick with a smile and good morning to start the day.

To Nettie and the DeRagon Family, I'm so sorry for your loss of a wonderful man who always was there to help a person in need and he would always give it to you straight even when you didn't want to hear it. He was like a grandfather to me. My father Jay worked for the Deragon's for years running the deli and redemption center and I would help on weekends that was my favorite part was going to the store and lending a helping hand to Dick & Nettie around the store or just to be there visiting. I would always help Dick wash that Beautiful white pickup he had. I probably was a pain more than a help but I enjoyed it. Nettie you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

When I went looking for a job outside of our family business as a teenager, Dick was there. That's how we met. He was a great business owner who could draw out the best in people. Throughout the past years, he counted on me to help him with technical questions through our family business. He made a difference in my life and will always hold a part of my heart. To all that he left behind, my wishes for healing and the ability to remember all of the great memories and that those memories get you through this tough time of letting go. His life mattered, he touched so many lives in such great ways.
