ALINE P. COMTOIS ELLSWORTH, ME / BURLINGTON - Aline P. Comtois, 83, beloved wife of Arthur Comtois, died April 27, 2011, in an Ellsworth, Maine Hospital. She was born July 6, 1927, in Gramby, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Rodolphe and Alice (Simard) Deslandes. Aline lived in Williston for 28 years before moving to Ellsworth, ME to be closer to her family. She enjoyed playing Golf, Duplicate Bridge, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 61 years, Arthur Comtois of Ellsworth, ME, she is survived by her daughter, Dianne Goodenough and her husband, David Jonathan, of Birch Harbor, ME; two grandsons, Adam Arthur Goodenough and his wife, Sujata Gupta, of San Francisco, Calif., and Ryan Thomas Goodenough and his wife, Emily Sandefer, of Albany, N.Y.; one brother, Patrick Deslandes of Magog, Quebec, Canada; one sister, Alice Charbonneau of Burlington; two sisters-inlaw, Rita Deslandes of Troy and Jeannette Deslandes of Newport; a special friend and Arthur's sister, Lillian Tessier of Burlington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Nelson. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the Curtis-Britch-ConverseRushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport, locally owned and operated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, with the Rev. Henry Mlinganisa in the St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 191 Clermont Terrace, Newport.
