ELIZABETH ANNE (CLAPP) BAUMANN - DANVILLE, Calif. - Elizabeth Anne (Clapp) Baumann, 44, passed away peacefully at her home in Danville, Calif., on Dec. 6, 2012, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ted; their children, Max, Olivia and Walter; mother, Nancy Clapp; and brothers, James and Andrew Clapp. Elizabeth was born on Nov. 6, 1968, in New Haven, Conn., to Dr. James and Nancy Clapp. She grew up in Colchester, Vt., where she attended the Colchester public schools. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1990, and received a degree in Occupational Therapy from Cleveland State University. Elizabeth married Ted Baumann on July 18, 1998, in South Hero, making official a growing and devoted relationship with the expansive Baumann/ Fayette family including her in-laws, Walter and Kathy Baumann, and Ted's siblings, Michael, Amy and Jessica. Elizabeth was beautiful, passionate and fiercely intelligent. She had a natural and easy elegance. She loved good food and fine wine. Elizabeth's true driving force, however, was her devotion to her family. No role fulfilled her more than motherhood. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, Max Edward, born in 2000, Olivia Grace, born in 2002, and Walter Ford, born in 2005. The strength and courage she exhibited during her five-year battle with breast cancer was truly an inspiration to everyone around her. Elizabeth, "Eliz," "Elizabug," "Beth," "Lil," we love you and miss you. Your strong spirit fills our hearts and souls, and you will continue to inspire us. Thank you for all of your gifts and love.
