Burlington - Patricia Ann Cummings, 70, died on February 6, 2018, at the UVM Medical Center from a respiratory illness. Patricia was born December 7, 1947, in Jersey City, NJ. She was predeceased by her loving parents William and Margaret Cummings.

Patricia was employed in New Jersey as a receptionist and clerk for Hudson County's residence for nurses at Murdoch Hall in the 1960s and later as a lunch aid for the Jersey City Board of Education in the 1970s. Patricia enjoyed living in Vermont for the past nine years and was grateful for the support of the dedicated staff of both Pillsbury Manor in South Burlington and Our Lady of Providence in Winooski. Patricia was blessed with faithful companionship from the staff of Howard Center who provided loving friendship and care while she lived in Vermont. She also received excellent care at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Family Medicine and Geriatric Psychiatry on several occasions.

Patricia is survived by her brothers: Rev. Brian J. Cummings, S.S.E. of Colchester, VT; Kevin Cummings and his wife Patricia of Summit, NJ; Timothy Cummings and his wife Carol of Spring Lake Heights, NJ; and W. Dennis Cummings of Annandale, NJ, whose wife Joan predeceased Patricia. Patricia is also survived by six nieces and nephews and two grandnieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the Chapel of Saint Michael the Archangel at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Duteau Columbarium at St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, VT.
