BERNARD BEAUDOIN Obituary
BERNARD BEAUDOIN - WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - Bernie Beaudoin died May 5, 2012 in the VA hospital, after a brief illness. He served in the United States Air Force during the end of the Korean War. In the '60s and '70s, he was the proprietor of the Palace Barber Shop on Bank St. Later, he owned several properties in Burlington and Winooski. His generosity made possible the new home of the Women's Rape Crisis Center on North Avenue. Bernie was a well known fixture at Henry's diner. He is survived by his beloved sister, Dorothy Crowley Fleming; his children, Deb, Dan, Chris and Dave; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the United Pentecostal Church, on Route 15 in Jericho, just up the hill from Joe's snack bar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dragonheart Vermont, in support of Cancer patients and survivors, P.O. Box 65301, Burlington, VT 05406.
