Obituary Condolences

JAMES PATRICK COYLE - FERRISBURGH - James Patrick Coyle, 66, went to his Lord on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at his home in Ferrisburgh. He was born June 24, 1946, in Vergennes, the son of Patrick Joseph (P.J.) Coyle and Marie (Little) Coyle. He graduated from Vergennes Union High School in 1964, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years of active duty in the Vietnam Conflict. Also, he was stationed in New Bedford, Mass., as a fireman and an electrician. He married Pamela Jewell on Oct. 1, 1966, in St. Peter's Church. He owned a grocery store in North Ferrisburgh, and also worked at Griffith Electric. Then he worked at Lowell and Austin Plumbing and Electrical in Burlington. He was a Master Electrician at UVM for 13 years, before retiring. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Vergennes, American Legion Post #14 in Vergennes, and he was an active member of Red Knights International Motor Cycle Club. James is survived by his wife, Pamela Coyle of Ferrisburgh; children, Michael James Coyle and wife, Ronda, Pennilee Coyle-Shortsleeve and husband, Robert, and Jaimeelyn Gaboriault and husband, Garth, all of Ferrisburgh; nine grandchildren, Shane, Alex, Andrew, Brittany, Shawna, Tyler, Schuyler, Caylib, and Zackerry; two brothers; 11 sisters; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and his Coast Guard brother, Raymond Lee. Visiting hours will be on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at St. Peter's Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Vergennes, followed by a reception at parish hall.
