Stamford, CT - Joseph F. Bracchitta, of Stamford, CT, and Killington, VT died November 24, 2018 at the Villa of Stamford surrounded by family and close friends. He was 57 years old born in Yonkers, NY on December 6, 1960 to Joseph and Norma (Silvestri) Bracchitta where he was raised and educated, graduating from Christ the King Grade School and Sacred Heart High School. He graduated from Mercy College excelling in Music. Joe was an accomplished musician and played in bands throughout NY and CT. Joe enjoyed spending time with his wife, Lori, dog Fred, friends, and his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his devoted wife, Joe is survived by his mother, Norma Bracchitta of Yonkers, NY sister, Maria Pellegrino of Tuckahoe, NY, brothers, John Bracchitta of Nashua, NH and David Bracchitta of Yonkers, NY; and his in-laws, Claudette Messana of Port Jefferson Station NY, Robert and Suzanne Messana of Southold, NY, Patricia Bracchitta of Yonkers NY, and Elizabeth Barrrett Bracchitta of Nashua NH, and his many adoring nieces and nephews: Jeffrey and Kristi Bracchitta, Robbie Bracchitta, Jennifer and Greg McClellan, Matthew Pellegrino, Paul and James Bracchitta, Thomas, Paige and Matthew Messana, Ralph and Kaltrina Riley. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Bracchitta of Yonkers, NY, cousins Geri Riley of Valhalla, NY, Michael and Anthony Mangione of Yonkers NY, brother-in-law Kerry Messana of Port Jefferson Station NY, and niece, Hope Irene Bracchitta of South Burlington, VT. Joe's beautiful smile and contagious laugh will live forever in our hearts. Service was officiated by Rev. Dr. Nathan Hart at Stanwich Congregational Church, 202 Taconic Road, Greenwich, CT on Tuesday November 27, 2018 and arranged by Fred D. Knapp & Son Funeral Home.
