LARRY RESTO - ESSEX JUNCTION - Larry Resto of Essex Junction, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Larry was born Aug. 9, 1953, son of Ana Gonzalez Mendez and Ramon J. Resto of New York. He served in Desert Storm, and retired from the Army after 24 years of service. He worked with Vermont veterans and families as an outreach specialist. Larry loved his cigars, fishing, hats and motorcycle. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Honey Trayah Resto; son, Ramon and wife, Kimberly, of Rhode Island; daughter, Angelina Resto of Essex Junction; six grandchildren, Raymond, Brianna, Samantha, Rylee, Jacob, and Jaren; mother, Ana and stepfather, Francisco Mendes, of New York; siblings, Edie Resto of California, Wilfred Mendez, Julie and husband, Mark Dari, of New York, Ann and husband, Steve Herring, of Pennsylvania; three nieces and a nephew. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction. A service will be held on May 9, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Vermont Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vermont Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 683, Essex Junction, VT 05453.
