Montpelier - Solomon Bryce Jenkins of Montpelier, VT, age 16, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Solomon was a kind and compassionate boy who was greatly loved by all who knew him. He had a golden soul and spirit that touched all who knew him. His lightness that will carry on throughout time. Solomon always thought he was trying to catch up with life but, in fact, he was so far ahead. The depth of his feelings, and understanding of those around him, was beyond what many of us will ever know or understand. The loss is devasting to his family and to the entire world. He was bound to do great and meaningful things in this life.

He loved listening to music, spending time with friends, snow skiing, and riding his jet ski at Lake Gaston. He was a true Fortnite aficionado.

Solomon is survived by his parents, Ben Jenkins of Montpelier, VT and Brooke Jenkins of Williston, VT, and his brother and best friend, Calem Jenkins. Maternal grandparents David Christenbury of Chesterfield, VA and Mark and Pamela Callahan of Binghamton, NY. Paternal grandparents, Gordy and Diana Jenkins of Chesterfield, VA and Janice Williams of Chesterfield, VA. His uncle Jesse Jenkins of Raleigh, NC and his Aunt Regina and Kenny Stallings of Richmond, VA. His great-grandfathers, Roger Fedro of Suffolk, VA and Reginald Beebe of Bradenton, FL. As well as numerous other family, friends, and cousins and his beloved dog, Ripper.

The family will receive friends at the Bethany Church at 115 Main Street, Montpelier, VT on Sunday, September 16 from 3 to 4 p.m. with a memorial service following in the Sanctuary at 4 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Good Samaritan Haven P.O. Box 1104, Barre, VT, 05641. Condolences may be registered at www.guareandsons.com.
