SUE E. (JOHNSON) DOLLMATSCH - WILLISTON - Sue Ellen (Johnson) Dollmatsch, 68, passed away on Jan. 16, 2013, with her family by her side, following a long and courageous illness, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born in Bath, Maine, on March 24, 1944, daughter of the late John and Katherine (Milliken) Johnson. Sue lived most of her life in Maine before moving to Vermont 12 years ago. Sue proudly spent three years volunteering at the Vermont Respite House. She loved painting and playing bridge, but most of all she cherished the time spent playing with her grandchildren. Sue was a wonderful woman who will be fondly remembered by all those who truly knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Dollmatsch of Williston; her son, Eric and his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Aiden and Shelby, of Colchester; several cousins; and her feathered companion, a Blue Quaker, "Elwood." She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard; and a special aunt and uncle, Leroy Neilson and wife, Madeline. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the VNA. Also, to the caregivers from TLC nursing. They would especially like to thank Karen and Katia for the tender loving care they provided for Sue over the years. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m. at A.W. Rich Funeral Home - Essex Chapel, 57 Main St. Essex Junction. There will be no public funeral services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sue's memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Care or Hospice Program, 1110 Prim Road, Suite #1, Colchester, VT 05446. We extend our condolences to you and all the family. We were in shock when we read the obitutary in the Times Record. We often thought of you two but lost contact after your move. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. There will always be all the wonderful memories. God Bless You.
