THERESE LEPINE MORRISVILLE - Therese Lepine, 85, passed away June 22, 2010, at home in Morrisville, with her family by her side. She was born in Hamsud, Quebec, the daughter of Maurice and Imelda (Paiement) Lepine. Her secretarial diploma led her to the Vermont State Tax Dept. as a secretary to George Amidon, Treasurer, then on to the Navy's Scofield Barracks in Hawaii, working in decoding. She then came back to Vermont, working with General Electric for a short while when Senator George Aiken was in search for a secretary with an agricultural background. So it was on to Washington, D.C., for 25 enjoyable years with Senator Aiken, then she retired to Mud City, her home, and became the third hand in operating the home farm. She is survived by three sisters, Marie, Gert and Jeannette; a brother, Lawrence and wife, Paulette; sister-in-law, Gerry; nieces, Lisa, Michelle, Denise and Simone; a nephew, Maurice; and their families. She was predeceased by her brother, Andre. A memorial service will be held later this summer at the convenience of her extended families at her family's burial ground.
