MARY JANE "MAE" BERGERON Obituary
MARY "MAE" JANE BERGERON MIDDLEBURY - Mary "Mae" Jane Bergeron, 86, died on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 in the Helen Porter Rehabilitation Center following a long illness with Alzheimer disease. Mae was born on July 31, 1924 in Upper Lands Co., Derry, Ireland, the daughter of Thomas and Selina (Cassidy) Anderson. She was married to Donald Bergeron, who predeceased her in 1999. The most important values to Mae were her faith in God, her family, and friends. She will be especially remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, lovely smile, care and compassion for others. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other crafts. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Helen Porter Healthcare staff, Hospice and especially to Annie and Keith Craig for their loving care of our mom and support to our family. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Bergeron; daughter, Janet Salsman; son-in-law, Jeffrey Fritz; grandchildren, James and Andrew Basiliere; sisters, Emily Anderson and Margaret Cadorette; and brothers, William, Thomas and Robert Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bergeron of Addison; son, Andrew Bergeron and his partner, Sonya Hamner, of East Middlebury; son-in-law, Steve Salsman; dear members of the family, Dennis Nordquist and James Basiliere; grandchildren, Lori and Trish Basiliere, Justen Nordquist and his wife, Diana, and Walker Bergeron; great-grand- children, Kira Degray, Ayden Basiliere and Gavin Nordquist; sisters, Florence Beattie, Anna Willis and husband, Clarence, and Phoebe Bergeron; sisters-inlaw, Alice and Isabel Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010. Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral & Cremation Services.
