PATRICIA ANN MITIGUY - COLCHESTER - Patricia Ann Mitiguy, 79, of Colchester, died on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, in Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born in Manchester, N.H. on June 6, 1932, the daughter of Sylvio and Natalie (Richardson) Brouillard. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1950, and of the Bishop DeGoesbriand Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. On Nov. 28, 1953, she was married in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to David E. Mitiguy. She initiated the Girl Scout Program at Christ the King School, was a member of the Chittenden County Board of Girl Scouts, a member of the Christ the King Parish Council, a volunteer for 10 years for Meals on Wheels, a board member with Dollars for Scholars, was an Inspector of Elections in Ward 6 in Burlington, was a board member of Rice High School Boosters, a board member of Rice High School Development Committee, a hospice volunteer, a nurse volunteer for the Vermont-New Hampshire Blood Center, Co-Chair with Bishop Marshall of the Fanny Allen Hospital Benefit Dinner, a longtime board member and president of Camp Tara, a member of the Board of Trustees of the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, an Eucharistic Minister and Lector at St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte. She is survived by her husband, David E. Mitiguy of Colchester; her eight children and their spouses, Catherine and John Solow of Iowa City, Iowa, Lisa and Dale Randall of Colchester, Arthur and Mary Mitiguy of Ira, Christopher and Mary Jeanne Mitiguy of Milton, Jeanne Mitiguy Bruno of Essex, David J. and Susan Mitiguy of Fort Worth, Texas, Margaret and James Glazier of South Burlington, and Maria and William Burns of Colchester; 15 grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin Solow, Paige Randall, Angela, Katie, David, Maxwell, Natalie, Julia, Patrick and Ryan Mitiguy, Grace Simoneau, Carey, Madeline and Maria Wood; two sisters, Marilyn Cooley and Linda Killoran; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Albans Healthcare and the Visiting Nurse Association for their kindness and care during her illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Colchester with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
