Bobby was one of the sweetest, kindest students I've ever had. Always ready with a smile, he embraced all nature walks, cooking projects, field trips, and hands-on experiments, with a twinkle in his eye and a leap in his step, during our third and fourth grade adventures together. He even laughed at my (lame) teacher jokes! A friend to ALL, Bobby did not have a mean bone in his body. He will be forever remembered with love and a smile, as well as a laugh. My heart breaks for you all, Spring, Doug and Emily -
With much love,
Ruth

I remember holding you and trying to get you to take a nap at Gram Lowell's. You grew into a young man that she would have been so proud of. May God give your parents, and sister the strength to get through this time. I believe you will be in the loving arms of Gram Lowell until you see your parents again. You will be missed from this world.
Sadly,

How to describe our wonderful Robert Francis, caring, compassionate, sympathetic, kind, all heart, loves strong and deeply. These are only a few small things shedding light to what a beautiful soul he is. No matter what you did with Bob it was always an adventure and one he never forgot. He had this way of making the people around him feel like they were the only ones in the world in those moments. He didn’t judge for who you are or what you may have done, he just accepted you for you. He gave the best hugs, whether you asked for one or not. His laugh, so infectious. He kept us all young and on our toes. Put light into life, gave it purpose and meaning. This terrible tragedy has left so many of us with a piece of our own souls missing, but what would Bob do, want us to do? Lean on each other and help us through each day one at a time. Love huge, laugh out loud, live life to the fullest.
Always here for you Doug, Spring and Em.

What a wonderfully written tribute to Bobby. Although I did not know him personally, Spring spoke so often about both of her wonderful kids when we worked together on weekends I felt like I knew them. My love and sincere condolences to all of you.

Bobby was loved by many. I am blessed to have called him a friend and to have graduated the sixth grade with him. He was always smiling and so full of light, he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was a very good boy with a heart of gold but also a wild child. He will be dearly missed and I send the greatest of condolences and prayers to your family in this time of need and loss. He was an amazing friend and was always very uplifting. Ride on Bob❤

Like many seniors I often review Free Press obituaries for the passing of old friends and acquaintances. I've never read a more touching and dignified tribute to a child. Though I am 300 miles away and have no connection to your family, I feel compelled to offer my deepest condolences.
