Robert CLARKE Obituary

CLARKE, Robert John
June 3, 1943 - February 18, 2023

It is with great sadness that we note the sudden passing of Robert J. Clarke. Bob will be dearly missed by the love of his life, his wife Susan, and his three sons; Brad (Tamara), Paul (Natalie) and Jon, and grandchildren Callie and Carson.

Bob grew up in Kerrisdale and attended the University of British Columbia. He graduated with his DMD degree in Dentistry after which he established a long and successful dental practice in West Vancouver.

Whether at home or travelling abroad, Bob's outgoing nature and integrity ensured he was surrounded by admiring friends and family throughout his life. All he knew will miss Bob's warm heart and generous spirit.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and generous support during this time.

A celebration of life will be held at St. David's United Church in West Vancouver on March 10, 2023 at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, or those wishing to mark a life well lived, please consider a donation to Volunteer Services of BC Children's Hospital or a Charity of Your Choice.

I am so sad to hear of Dr Clarkes passing. I have such fond memories of taking care of the boys when they were young. Such a lovely kind man.

The funeral today was memorable .. just like Dr Clark was. He was the finest dentist we ever had.. gentle and caring . Your choice of good old hymns was perfect for the emotions that were in that packed church How loved he was , as shown by his 3 lads , and so admired by the congregation .AS he often said on Facebook AMEN ! Faith , hope and the greatest of all LOVE . It seems that he had them all .
My sincere sympathy to you Sue , and to those 3 sons .

Sue and family. I was very sad to learn of Bob's passing. I spoke to Al Shearer about addending his service at St. David's Church. Al and Wendy were in California and send their condolences to Sue and the family. I thought very highly of Bob and the boys delivered moving tributes to their father. He was a very talented dentist and a fine human being. I graduated UBC Faculty of Dentistry 1975 a few years behind Bob.
