25th January 1943 - 27th March 2012, aged 69 years. Former Managing Director of Rolls Royce & Associates. Chairman of Pride Park & DRI. Sadly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday 27th March 2012. A courageous battle fought to the end. Dearly loved husband of Pauline, much loved father of Cheryl and Naomi, father in law to Ian and a devoted grandad to Chloe, Lorna, Freya, Alicia and Ella and a much loved brother and uncle. Funeral to take place on April 11th at 11.30am at St. Bartholmew's Church Hognaston, followed by interment in the Churchyard. They welcome you to join them at the Brackendale Restaurant after the service. Family flowers only please, donations if desired are for the Treetops Hospice. David Dawson was one of very few leaders who successfully combined his Christian principles with his business practice. A man of immense integrity he is often in my thoughts as a role model. Sadly missed.
