Ian HEWAT Obituary

HEWAT Ian Forbes Blair (Melrose)
Peacefully, at home, on Monday, March 23, 2020, Ian, beloved son of the late John and Elma Hewat. Special brother to his late sister Sally and his brother Sandy.
Precious friend and husband of Liz and a treasured brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle and a man of many friends. He will be truly missed, but lives on in our memories. Sadly due to current health restrictions the interment in Wairds Cemetery, Melrose, is private.

Fond memories of Ian (Neish),knowing him since he was 4 years old and in touch with him up to his last year. I was fortunate to visit him occasionally over the years and shall miss his funny personality and warm hospitality.

Ian was a real gentleman as well as a former Bank colleague. He liked nothing better than to reminisce about the good old days, particularly his memories of The British Linen Bank. I will miss his congenial company at social gatherings.
