Obituary

David G. Zibrat, 84, of Butler passed away peacefully on May 2 in the comfort of his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Oct. 24, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Albert G. and Irene Goebel Zibrat.
Dave retired from Westinghouse Corp. in 1999 after 40 years of service as an engineer.
He loved everything Jeep and was a member of the Heritage Regional Jeep Alliance. He was one of the founding members of the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and also founded the Flat Fender Club of Butler.
Dave was a Ham Radio operator and a member of the Butler County Amateur Radio Association.
In honor of his son, David, he was very active within the Autism Society of Pennsylvania.
He served as a supervisor to Richland Township and volunteered for the Butler Historical Society.
Above all, Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Dave had a zest for life and was young at heart. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 23 years, Caryl Vlah; his children, A. Douglas Zibrat and his wife, Barbara Hunt, of Palmer, Alaska, Sandra Zibrat of Butler, Jeffrey Zibrat of Pittsburgh, Timothy Zibrat and his wife, Joelle Rudnick, of Palm Bay, Fla.; and his wife Caryl's children, Kelly Campbell and her husband, Bret, of Edinboro, and Michelle Vlah and her husband, Allen Guggisberg, of Healy, Alaska; his grandchildren, Zachary Zibrat (Bianca) of San Francisco, Calif., Lindsay Cheshire (Frank) of Tampa, Fla., Rozalija Zibrat (Jordan Schiller) of Seattle, Wash., Sean Fitzmaurice of Natrona Heights, Gary Zibrat, of Seattle, Wash., and Emma, Aimee and Claire Campbell, all of Edinboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David William Zibrat.
ZIBRAT - Friends and family of David G. Zibrat, who died Thursday, May 2, 2019, will be received from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
