Jane F. Davis, 93, of Butler passed away at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Charleroi to the late Lawrence B. Frye and Mary E. McKean Frye.
In her earlier years, Mrs. Davis worked for the MacBeth-Corning Glass Co. in Charleroi. She then worked at Apollo Junior/Senior High School as a secretary, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church in Butler. Mrs. Davis enjoyed knitting and reading.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one son, Lawrence Davis and his wife, Robin, of Allegheny Township, Pa.; two daughters, Mary K. Davis of Butler and Lawra J. Bartosh and her husband, Douglas, of Ford Cliff, Pa.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Davis, who passed away Feb. 20, 1989; two sisters; and one great-granddaughter.
DAVIS - Friends of Jane F. Davis, who passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Lloyd Riggle Jr. of the Allegheny Presbyterian Church, Freeport, Pa., officiating. Burial will take place in the Monongahela Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
