Rose and Family,

We have never found another Christmas Eve Service as wonderful as Ken's. We also remember our Christmas Dinners with you all.

Oh my, what a shock when I read this. He is the reason I joined the Hill Church. I will always remember the Kerygma classes and Ken's unending wisdom during our discussions; I have even kept the books. He baptized both Nina and Carla, my children. I remember the Christmas Eve sermons which no words can describe and no one could ever replicate. He taught me so much by example, his powerful and meaningful sermons. He cared deeply about his church, and was a true man of wisdom. I was proud to know Ken.

PLEASE EXCEPT OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY

IN THIS SAD TIME.

I'll never forget the look of dismay on Ken's face when, as I was introducing him at a seminar one evening, someone asked what a "Moderator" was. "It's kind of like a pope", I said, "except we Presbyterians don't trust anyone with that much power, so we only elect them to a one-year term." He never let me forget that one!

I pray that God will be with all of us who loved Ken and whose lives were so enriched by knowing him.

Dear Mrs. Hall and family,

Please accept our deepest sympathy in this very sad time. The Reverend Dr. Hall has been the topic of many conversations over the years. Dr. Hall said this and Dr. Hall did that, obviously having a profound affect on the people that knew him and heard his most eloquent sermons.

Our hope is that you draw strength and comfort from your faith in God and Mother Nature and realize that Dr. Hall will live on in the memories of the people he touched.

Sincerely,

Dennis & Paula (McCaw) McKitten

Dear Rose and family,

We were priveleged to worship under Ken's guidance for a year or so before he left Hill Church. I have always been so pleased that he Baptized both my children, as I respected him so much. I recall one Tuesday morning Women's Bible Study at Hill U.P. when Ken was talking about people in history who had to sneak to worship God, including slaves in the American south. Ken was overcome when he tried to repeat the slave hymn "Steal Away, Steal Away, Steal Away to Jesus." As I recall, many of us were as well. Although I haven't seen Ken in a while, I will always miss and remember him as well as his thought-provoking sermons. What a fine and faithful friend heaven has now.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Hall,

Mark and I are so very sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Hall. He was a very moving and touching man. He was an excellent speaker and I loved to listen to his sermons. I think that the one thing that I will fondly remember about Mr. Hall is the lovely, touching Christmas stories that he use to deliver each and every Christmas. May the lord bless you and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
