Betty J. Bell

Betty J. Bell, 83, formerly of 530 Federal St., and recently of 126 Driftwood Drive in Butler, her daughter's home, died on Friday.
Betty was born April 14, 1934, in Forbes Road, Pa., and was a graduate of Uniontown High School.
Along with her husband, Thomas, they owned and operated Bell's Dairy Bar at the corner of Woodlawn and Delaware Avenue in Uniontown, before moving to Butler.
She was an employee of Kroger grocery for 20 years before retiring.
Betty was a member of a ladies' card club that would go on to be a close-knit group of friends.
Betty was the soul of hospitality, and is remembered as not only a loving mother and grandmother, but also a friendly neighbor, caring friend and generous woman. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
She has three living sisters-in-law, Jane Hyjurick, Dolores Bell and Joan Bell.
Betty is also survived by her daughter, Debra Crusan; grandsons, Erik Fry and his wife, Stephanie, Sean Fry and his wife, Nicole, Brian Bell and Jonathan Bell; stepgrandsons, Marc Crusan and his wife, Nan, and Keith Crusan and his wife, Brandi; great-grandchildren, Coby Fry, Julia Fry and Allison Fry; step-great-grandchildren, Howard Crusan, Elizabeth Crusan, Joshua Crusan and Max Crusan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Michael Hyjurick and Anna Dzurko Hyjurick; her sisters, Anna Marie Krassa and Dorothy Shergy; and brother, Michael Hyjurick; her beloved husband, Thomas E. Bell Sr.; her son, Thomas E. Bell Jr.; and son-in-law, Ralph Crusan Jr.
BELL - A memorial Mass for Betty J. Bell, who died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Herman, with a private burial later.
Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice Care division in Butler.
