We met in South Africa in the sixties and remained friends since. He told me about his illness and I knew how serious it became when his phone was disconnected and we lost touch.
He was good friend, I will miss him.
Deepest condolences to Jola and Krzysztof - they may remember me.

Tuscany to Pienza, Italy
We met Adam on a cycling tour in Italy, and was part of our lively group who cherished every moment. His laughter, zest for life, and warm, gentle spirit made it so easy to get to know and appreciate him. Adam cared for those who passed through his life as a natural part of who he was, whether others responded or not. A rare and genuine heart that is not often seen or experienced. We will always remember his friendship, great rides in Tuscany together, and send our deepest condolences to his family. Adam made a difference, and our lives were touched because of him. Rest in peace our dear friend.

I have known Adam since we first met in the 60's in Cape Town, South Africa.

In the 70's we arrived in Calgary with our respective families where we spent many Christmas Eve and Easter holidays together.

He was a dear friend and I find it hard to believe he is no longer with us.

As my dad's best friend, "Uncle Adam" was a part of our extended family and the closest thing to an Uncle I've ever had. His personality, love for "projects" and many stories of life's adventures will be missed.

Exploring the mountains with Adam
It is with great sadness that Karen and I learnt of Adam's passing. Over the years I spent many great hikes with Adam in the mountains, the time enriched by our conversations. In particular Thanksgivings at Lake O'Hara are fondly remembered.
Our lives are richer for knowing Adam. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

I am happy to see that someone, esp. his daughter, organized this for Adam, who was compassionate, intelligent, spiritual, generous, good looking, hospitable and fun to be with. I met him at the Centre for Positive Living, and in Master Mind Groups. My life is richer/better, for having known him.

Over more than ten years I enjoyed many hikes, skis and meals with Adam and friends. I will always remember two outstanding acts of generosity. One when he wore my pack down from Carthew Alderson in Waterton Park a distance of 8kms as I was limping with a sore knee. The other was on All Soul's Prospect at Lake O'Hara when my California nephew was shivering and Adam without hesitation offered him a much needed sweater. I will miss having him around and I am pleased to know his passing was peaceful.
